Luru recently had its 11th Fashion Week with Myntra.com as the official partner, who themselves strutted their Autumn/Winter ‘14 collection with Roadster and DressBerry.

The Sheraton Hotel had to brace itself for a few days of after parties, exhibits and of course, fashion shows from 7th-10th August.

The designer list was hand picked by Bangalore Fashion Week (BFW) themselves, which included Archana Kochhar, Ramesh Dembla, Ashima Leena and many more from around the country. We were so pumped with the line-up. I mean, who wouldn’t want to drool over the latest trends and collections? Or maybe we just kind of, sort of, possibly wanted to look at hot models (we’re only human).

Our favourite shows were Archana Kochhar, DresyBerry by Myntra, Aslam Khan and Mandeep Litt. We even picked out the outfits we loved!

Kochhar’s designs (below) ranged from bridal, cocktail and menswear. The colours were deep with a royal feel and included intricate embroidery.

DressBerry (below) described themselves to be, ‘fun, flirty and femine.’ Based on their collection at the show, we couldn’t agree more and the outfits were perfectly wearable unlike most of what we see on the runway.

Aslam Khan (below) was all about formal wear with clean cuts and bold colours. We loved the collection because work wear has never looked this classy and fashion forward. If you’ve ever wondered how to look formal, but also super chic, then Khan’s collection is what you need.

The traditional Indian and ‘old world charm’ inspired Mandeep Litt’s collection (below) where vintage and royalty came to mind. The show included bridal outfits with kundan, gotta and sequin details and men’s ethnic wear.

We enjoyed the city’s fashionable few days and can’t wait for the next BFW! Until then, Bangalore has plenty other events coming up, so watch this space for more!
