Luru, it’s time to Gourmet It Up! ;)

Okay so we have exciting news! After much waiting, the online sensation that already has Mumbai and Delhi foodies dancing in the palm of their curators is now here.  We at I Heart BLR got the ONLY sneak peek there is, and are thrilled to be launching GourmetItUp in Bangalore! *virtual ribbon cut* Woot woot!

So for the official launch, we got to taste the Om Made Cafe GourmetItUp menu, which consisted of a 3 course meal complete with 3 glasses of sangria. Slurp!

What’s even more epic is, they had cute little menu cards with our name personalised on them (heart melt).

What We Ate:

Hummus Platter (below) – An extremely generous portion, this was a really safe bet, and didn’t go wrong. After all, you can’t go to a Mediterranean spot and not check whether they get their hummus right 😉

Raw Papaya Salad (below)– The Thai lover in us tempted this order. It sounded fresh and zesty on the menu, what with its raw papaya, ginger, lemongrass and prawn. It was EXACTLY that. No regrets and a definite re-order.

From the mains, they had too many choices! We decided to stick to the Mediterranean theme and go for the seafood.

Market Fish Pave (below) – Undoubtedly the dish of the day. This fish was dressed in beautiful clothing of red chilli sauce which had the right amount of sweet and sour balance. We could do without the thick potatoes on the side

Waffles (below) – They weren’t bad at all. Accompanied with chocolate sauce, maple syrup and apricot, we thought they were a nice finish to the meal. Perfect if you’re not much of a sweet tooth.
