Bangalore, are you #Farzified yet?

After successfully enamouring Gurgaon, Delhi, Bombay and Dubai with their indo-fusion yums, Farzi has finally landed in namma Bengaluru and where else other than our beloved UB City.

What we instantly loved was the ambience.. the lighting, the music and the way they had cute little private cubbies in a corner for a more intimate reservation; not to mention the never-ending menu with everything from appetisers to nano plates to tapas to mains to dessert! We instantly knew we wouldn’t be able to really sample and taste everything in one sitting.. or seven.

What We Ate:

Dal Chawal Arancini – A lovely Indian twist to the classic Italian appetiser, these rice balls are served with your standard aachar, papad and chutney!

Tandoori Wild Mushrooms – Beautifully chopped mushrooms served with truffle oil and walnut dust. Simple, yet so so elegant. A definite re-order.

Mini Raj Kachori – This was served with a yummy crisp okra salad and chutney foam. The kachori was made out of sweet and sour pumpkin.

Pork Ribs – Extremely well cooked pork tossed in chilli sauce & served with kashmiri rista reduction.

F.C.C. (Farzi Fried Chicken) – Farzi’s own innovation of batter fried juicy chicken lollipops served with lotus stem crisps. Yum! Loved that they served it up in a cute little toy truck.

Braised Lamb Chops – Tender meat served with interestingly sweet maple and soy sauce with a whiskey sour cream dip. This has a sort of sweet sour-y pan asian feel. Be prepared to get your fingers super sticky!

unnamed-3

Tempura Fried Prawns – Tossed in homemade dressing & served with lemon and fresh chilly air foam, the batter was so light, almost not present, which is always a good thing.

Bhatti ka Murg – Classic tandoori chicken cooked in a clay oven served in burn cream. Perfect for the good ol’ kebab lovers.

Keema Kulcha – This was served with the most exciting mint jalapeño infused raita we’ve ever had.

unnamed-6

Chilli Duck Samosa – Mini samosas stuffed with spicy duck & tossed in their signature hot & sour sauce.

Mutton Irachi Pepper Fry – Served with Malabar Parantha, this south-Indian inspired dish was a perfect main. The shanks were tender and moist and sometimes we love our heavy-on-the-oil curries, so no complaints!

2016-06-28 21.30.18 9.44.59 PMMilky Way/Big-Bang – Galaxy of varied flavours served on a platter to symbolise milky way with all its planets. Some blueberries, rabble with white chocolate, pistachio, cocoa powder & orange.

Parle-G Cheesecake with Cookie Dough – Our fav childhood biscuit dipped in rabri & nostalgically completed with colourful chocolate gems 🙂

Ras Malai Tres Leches – Delicious ras malai made up of 3 types of milk which was garnished with a sugar and rose petal web. This was by far the highlight of the whole menu. Must order.

What We Drank:

unnamed-9

Chuski Margarita – Capturing the essence of an old Delhi fav, this margarita complete with its own chuski stole our heart.

Farzi Idea – Cute cocktail served (apt to its name) in a lightbulb with vodka, absinthe, angostura bitters, lime juice, pineapple juice & coconut syrup.

Chai Paani – Earl grey infused cocktail with vodka and orange.

#IHBLoves

Bang for the Buck – Compared to other joints in their league, Farzi is a bit easy on the pocket and we’re definitely not complaining!
Supermen Staff – We don’t know if its the sharp threads they got on or if its the fact that most of their beard games are on point (complete with well groomed haircuts), but their staff is super sweet, efficient and know their stuff and definitely stood out.
Gigs Galore – We love their live performance section, now let’s hope they got an epic string lined up xx
