The one and only Chef Vivek Singh from The Cinnamon Club, London is currently cooking up a storm at The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore with his Pop-Up restaurant. The menu includes Chef’s signature dishes from over the years that are featured in his collection of restaurants (The Cinnamon Club, Cinnamon Kitchen, and Cinnamon Soho) and his book Vivek Singh’s Spice at Home. And yes, the menu is personally curated. Best of all, we had the pleasure of meeting Chef Vivek Singh.
Each dish was a unique and delicious blend of East meets West. For example, he used Indian spices and ingredients with culinary styles of the West. In other words, it’s Indian food with a twist. This is exactly Chef’s forte – connecting two cultures through food.
We had an option between a non-veg and veg menu, and we chose the non-veg.
What we ate:
- Spiced Corn Soup
- Seared Scallops with Galouti kebab, Cauliflower Bhujia and Puree
- Clove Smoked Loin of Lamb with Rajasthani corn sauce
- Carrot Halwa Spring Rolls with Clove Ice Cream
We highly recommend you to check it out, because if you can’t goto London to try Chef’s menu – no biggie – you can get a taste right here in Bangalore! The Pop-Up ends on 7th November, so between tonight and the whole of tomorrow, you can still get a chance to try the signature dishes.
